This evening I was honored to go with Ed Sitver to the  Roots and Branches Grantee Reception. Roots and Branches is an iniative of  Rose Community  Foundation. Limmud Colorado was awarded a generious grant for scholarships.

Scholarships are critical for many to attend Limmud and we are very thankful for the continued support from Roots and Branches. The Roots and Branches grant funds support scholasrhips for Jewish adults under 40 who live in the 7 county area. Additional scholarship funds are available for Colorado residents through the 18 Pomegranates Foundation.

The reception was very nice and gave us a chance to meet other grantees and learn about the important work they are doing in the community. We also were excited to see that many of the other grantees will be presenting at Limmud Colorado 2010, including Caryn Aviv (StorahTelling), Gregg Drinkwater and Jay Michaelson (Jewish Mosaic and Nehirim), and Gavriel Goldfeder and Josh Rose (Soul Food).
